Hydro Grow is a company specializing in hydro-seeding and erosion control. We are expanding rapidly, offering more erosion control service to more locations in Southern and Central California (including coastal regions). We currently operate out of Visalia California. Hydro-Grow is a highly mobile business that is able to work in all parts of California.
What is Hydro-Seeding?
Hydro-Seeding typically consists of a mixture of water, seed, wood cellulose fiber, fertilizer and a tackifier. This slurry is then applied to protect exposed soil from erosion.
Hydro-Seeding can also be used for establishing all types of turf grass or wildflowers.
Hydro Seeding and Hydro Mulching are the two most popular names for a process that has greatly improved the way grass is planted.
Hydroseeding typically costs only a little more than old fashioned methods using dry seeding techniques combined with a messy straw mulch using hay blowers. Hydroseeded lawns can be up to 50% cheaper than a typical sod lawn and have a much better end result.
Since your new lawn will be sprayed on, the protective mulch covering provides an attractive green appearance. Plus the seeds used can be tailored to the conditions and requirements you have. Some of the factors that may go into the choice may be the amount of sun, shade, the terrain, and the type of soil you have.
Germination time will depend on the weather, the time of year, the amount of water, the area you live in and other factors. Usually grass will be visible in 5-7 days, but a little slower in cold weather.
